Dan's 35th birthday bonanza continued this weekend in NYC. We checked-in at the Waldorf Astoria and headed to American Girl to do a little Christmas shopping. We're looking forward to watching the children's eyes dance on Christmas morning! Then we went to Morrell Wine Bar to meet up with Dana and Vito for some pre-dinner drinks. We sat at the bar and had a beautiful view of the tree at Rockefeller Center. Midtown was bustling, so we decided to have dinner at Scalini Fedeli in TriBeCa. It was delicious! They had an excellent prix fixe menu, and the prosecco and wine were flowing. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel bar for a drink. Dan's starting to show his age! I was blown away when he ordered a glass of scotch. It was nice to sleep in, and we enjoyed going to the 10:00 Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Before checking out of the hotel, we headed to Lavo for brunch. Then we were off to see A Christmas Story Musical on Broadway, which was fabulous! It should win "a major award!" The songs were great, there was a leg lamp kick line, and they managed to include every memorable line from the movie! We had such a wonderful weekend! Although we missed our babies, it's nice to have a little one-on-one time every now and then. Happy 35th birthday babe! xoxo
