"Labor" Day Weekend Festivities

We've officially passed Aunt Dana's due date, and we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of her little Munchkin! Dan got home from work a little early yesterday, and we kicked off Labor Day Weekend by hosting a barbecue at our house with LuLu, Pop, and the Wally Klein family. Dan and Wally needed to start discussing their fantasy football team (they have their big draft at Ed's house on Sunday). It was a great night! Maylene taught us the secret recipe for her salsa and guacamole, the kids had fun playing together, and we relaxed and enjoyed each other's company on the deck.
This morning we went to Ethan Allen for the Labor Day sales and to order the window treatments for our great room. While we were there, we ordered all the furniture for the playroom. We decided on an American flag theme. I can't wait to see the final product! After a little nap, we headed to Nana and Grandpa's to celebrate Uncle Vito's birthday. As always, Grace, Andrew, and Kate had a blast playing on their swing set with Grandpa. We also got to see Terry and Nanny! It was a fun night, and we're anxious to see if Uncle Vito will share his birthday with his little Munchkin!
Grace and Olivia gave us a little fashion show on Friday night!
"Happy Birthday Uncle Vito!" He had lots of little helpers!
"Belly Bump!" Munchkin and Peanut have already begun to enjoy their playdates. Aunt Dana is getting induced on Monday. So, the next time we see her, we get to meet Munchkin... HOORAY!

Pop's 77th Birthday!

The entire Klein & Colonna families gathered at LuLu and Pop's tonight to celebrate Pop's 77th birthday! I remember being 8 years old, sitting on our old deck, and celebrating my Dad's 50th birthday. It's amazing how quickly time flies! It was a great party! Maylene made two delicious birthday cakes, the children had so much fun playing and making Rainbow Loom bracelets together, and Pop was happy to be surrounded by his family. Lou and Fran Chiarelli came over for the festivities, too! It was memorable Summer night!
"Happy Birthday Dear Pop!"
Kate had fun playing Peek-A-Boo under the table.
Andrew played SORRY with Daddy, and he used him as his jungle gym.
Our little sweethearts were so excited to celebrate with Pop. Grace made him a Rainbow Loom bracelet, and Andrew colored him an awesome picture. Pop was delighted by their thoughtful gifts!

Alarming Welcome to the Neighborhood

Dan and I headed to meet some of our new neighbors at Jim and Teresa's house tonight, and while we were there we got a call from ADT that our alarm was going off and the firetrucks were on their way! Danny and I ran down the street to find Miss Melanie and our little sweethearts headed outside. Before we knew it, firetrucks, police cars, and 3 excited children were outside of our home! We were happy to find out that everything is fine! After the excitement, we headed back to the party, and our little ones went back inside to enjoy the remainder of their time with Miss Melanie.
It was a bit nerve-wracking to watch the firefighters head into our new home! However, our children were quite entertained!

10 Years of Wedded Bliss

I can't believe it's been 10 years since Danny and I said, "I do!" It's true that time flies when you're having fun! We've had so many adventures these last 10 years. We've lived in 4 different homes, traveled to 21 countries, and started our family. Grace, Andrew, Kate, and our newest addition (arriving this December) are our greatest accomplishments! We love our role as parents! We take so much pride in our children, and we look forward to making many memories with them in the future. I'm blessed to have married my best friend and the love of my life! I can't wait to see what the future holds in store for us!
We had such an AMAZING night celebrating our anniversary in NYC. On the night Dan proposed, September 7, 2002, we went to One if by Land, Two if by Sea. We were waiting for a special occasion to make another trip there, and our 10th anniversary was the perfect opportunity! We had an undeniably  romantic evening, and before we drove home, Dan gave me a tour of his new office at Bank of America. Just like 10 years ago, we didn't want our night to end!
One if by Land, Two if by Sea is one of the city's most romantic dining rooms, and our table looked AMAZING.  It was topped with a rose, taper candle, and Dan's bottle of wine (which we decorated with a "fancy" 10 wine stopper.
Our dinner was delectablel, and our desserts were out of this world. I had a raspberry souffle, Dan had the chocolate and caramel pot de creme, and the restaurant surprised us with a special anniversary surprise.
We didn't want our date to end. After finishing dessert, we sat at our table for a while listening to the live piano music and reminiscing about our last 10 years. In fact, we were there so long that the waiter brought us another dish of special treats.

Nicky's 10th Birthday

We had a fun-filled night at LuLu and Pop's celebrating Nicky's 10th birthday! Grace, Andrew, and Kate couldn't wait to spend time with their cousins! They had a blast playing outside! It was a beautiful Summer night, and we had a great time Nicky's party!

Lake George ~ Day 4

We certainly made the most of our last day! We had a delicious buffet breakfast at La Bella Vita, and then we boarded The Morgan. We set sail at 11:30, and the scenic boat cruise took us through the narrows providing us with some of the best scenic views the Adirondacks can offer. The tour guide was fantastic. We learned a lot about the history of Lake George, and we had lunch on board the ship. After the cruise we relaxed poolside for a bit. We wanted to soak in as much sun and family time as possible! I can't believe Dan goes back to work this week! These past two months have flown by. It was so nice spending so much time together this Summer!

The Morgan is a replica of a 19th century touring boat.

Farewell Sagamore! We hope to visit again soon!

Lake George ~ Day 3

We had such an incredible morning catching up with the Gustafson family. Julie, Eric, and Gus lived right around the corner from us in London. We shared so many memories together during our time there, and we were happy that they were able to spend a couple of hours with us at the resort before heading back to Boston. Grace was so happy to see Gus (her 1st friend)! We swam, chatted, and had a tasty lunch at The LakeHouse. After we bid farewell, we took our cuties on a horse and carriage ride throughout the resort. Grace, Andrew, and Kate were crazy about the horses... Rusty and Randy. It was a gorgeous day, and we took advantage of a lot of pool time. We were so happy that we were able to get a table at the Pavilion tonight. We had an amazing meal there on Thursday, and we wanted to stay on the resort for our last night. After dinner we headed to the Bonfire with S'mores. Grace and Andrew had so much fun making them, and Kate, Dan and I were happy to eat them! It has been such a wonderful trip. It's sad to think that tomorrow is our last day.
I was so happy to see Julie! We were pregnant together in London, and I'll never forget those first few months we spent with Grace and Gus.
Grace and Gus
Kate was crazy about Scarlett!
Dan and Erik
Look at these cool kids! They had their own special seats at lunch today;
We enjoyed our "Cinderella Carriage Ride."
Grace, Andrew, and Kate were mesmerized by the horses.
The poolside bar even has yummy drinks for the kids!
We had another fantastic meal at the Pavilion! I think it's the best restaurant at the resort!
The bonfire with S'mores was an awesome Adirondack experience! Grace and Andrew loved roasting the marshmallows.
Kate took her S'mores eating seriously.

Lake George ~ Day 2

While Dan played a round of golf this morning, our sweethearts and I headed to The Rec to participate in the Sagamore Kids Club. Grace and Andrew had fun doing arts and crafts, and Kate and I enjoyed checking out all that The Rec has to offer. We weren't there long, because Dan played his round super fast! So, we headed over to La Bella Vita for a delicious brunch. It was a bit rainy this afternoon, but we certainly made the most of our day. Dan took us over to the clubhouse, and the kids had so much fun putting with Daddy! Afterwards, we had a blast swimming and relaxing by the sheltered, heated, open-air-concept pool overlooking the lake, and before we knew it the sun came out. We enjoyed drinks at the pool, and Grace, Andrew, and Kate had fun playing at the man made beach. We had another fabulous meal at La Bella Vita this evening, and then we headed back to The Rec for some miniature golf. It was a fun-filled day from start to finish!
Grace and Andrew were psyched to make their own sunglasses at the SKC.
Cool Shades

Who ever knew the putting green could be so exciting?
This is Kate's fake cry. Our little lady looks gorgeous even when she's rocking her frown.
Fun in the sun!
Dinner at La Bella Vita was delish. For the majority of our meal, we had an amazing view of the lake. However, they had to move us inside for dessert because it began to pour. The weather was crazy today.
At first the kids were disappointed that the Bonfire with S'mores was cancelled, but we had a great night at The Rec and cuddling in our room.
