Disney on Ice ~ Princess Wishes

Grace and I had such a wonderful "Ladies Day" with LuLu, Aunt Maylene, and Olivia! Grace decided to wear her Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora gown to Disney on Ice ~ Princess Wishes. She looked adorable, and she even wore her tiara for a portion of the day. We headed out bright and early for the 10:30 showing at the Izod Center. Before the show, we had fun shopping for new princess paraphernalia! LuLu bought Grace a beautiful program, and I was happy to find a Princess Jasmine doll to add to her collection. The show was magical! The ice skaters, costumes, and scenery were fantastic! Afterwards, LuLu treated us to a delicious lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in the Riverside Square Mall! The 5 of us had so much fun together!

The grand finale was outstanding!

Tapping on Tuesdays

Grace truly enjoys everything about her Tuesday dance class... especially tap dancing. I was able to snag a quick picture at the end of class today! She is doing a great job following her teacher's instructions, and she's fortunate to have such a sweet group of girls in her group.
If you look closely at her leotard, you can see the sticker that Miss Stephanie gave her at the end of class:-)

Game Day

Andrew was suited up and ready for the AFC Championship game today! Unfortunately, the Jets didn't show up to play until the second half. They were defeated 24-19 by the Stealers. The Jets had a good season, and we had fun watching them! Hopefully, they'll win the Super Bowl next year!

Super Fun Saturday

We had quite an exciting Saturday! Grace and I went dress shopping this morning with Aunt Dana and Nana, and once again, we saw some gorgeous bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. We had fantastic afternoon celebrating our friend/neighbor Hadley's 2nd birthday at The Little Gym. Grace and Andrew had so much fun playing on all of the equipment, singing at circle time, and eating pizza and cake. We also had a fun family date night at Chilis! It's so nice taking Grace and Andrew out to eat. We feel very fortunate to have such good kids!
This was our favorite flower girl dress of the day.

18 Month & 3 Year Check-Ups

Grace and Andrew each had a milestone check-up today. I can't believe that my babies are getting so big! They both did very well at their appointments right up until the end... it's a good thing they give all those shots right before we head out the door! Princess and Elmo stickers can get these two munchkins through anything:-)
Prior to their check-ups, we had a very busy morning. Grace had Lollipop School, and Andrew and I had a Tumbles class followed by story time with Miss Val! We're so happy that Miss Val is back:-) We had such a wonderful morning!
With all these clothes, Grace weighed exactly 30 pounds. Andrew has finally hit 20 pounds! He weighed in at 20 pounds 11 ounces. It's hard to believe that he's in the 10th percentile for weight when he eats more than any little man I know:-)
Grace's eye test and hearing test were too cute! She did such a great job with the nurse:-)

Dress Shopping

Grace and I had a fun, girly afternoon with Aunt Dana! We've started the hunt for the perfect bridesmaid and flower girl dresses! I've added some photos of our favorite dresses of the day. Grace was such a little diva! She loves dressing like a princess:-)
I hope that she'll pose for photos this easily at Dana and Vito's wedding in August!
1 dress wasn't enough! She requested to try on a pink one as well.

Magic Carpet Ride

After Grace's birthday party, we had Sunday Dinner at our house, and "Grandpa" came up with a new form of entertainment... "The Magic Carpet Ride." It's amazing that with all the new toys from Christmas and Grace's birthday our children just want to get dragged on a carpet "AGAIN" and "AGAIN!"

Royal Extravaganza

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon celebrating Grace's third birthday with our family and friends! The "royal celebration" was held at Bounce U in Paramus from 1:30 - 3:30. She was a little overwhelmed at first, but she eventually warmed up and had a fabulous time bouncing, climbing, and sliding with all of her honored guests!
Her invitations read...
"Hear ye! Hear ye!
Princess Grace is turning 3!
We waved our wand but still need you,
to make her birthday wish come true!"
Andrew had lots of fun celebrating his big sister's big day!
Grace sat on a throne at the head of the table! She loved being surrounded by her family and friends while she ate pizza, princess cake, and cupcakes!
Thank you, Aunt Dana, for the beautiful tiered princess birthday cake and sparkly cupcakes!
Grace enjoyed the homemade icing and pink and purple chocolate crowns on the top of her cupcakes! Yum!

Little Man's 1 and a half

I can't believe our little man is already a year and a half! He's such a big boy! He loves throwing the football around with his Daddy, and he already knows some of the lingo including: "ball," "hut," and "fumble!" He's addicted to wearing hats... weather it's one of his own, one of Daddy's, Tupperware, or a bowl full of cheerios. He enjoys playing with his Toy Story, Sesame Street, and Thomas the Tank Engine toys. He loves listening to music, and he's getting good at dancing and singing along. His smile is infectious, his cheeks are delicious, and his laugh is the sweetest sound in the world! He's such a lovebug! Happy 1/2 birthday Andrew! We love you! xoxo

Snow:-)

We woke up this morning to about a foot of snow. Surprisingly, Grace did not have a snow day! Dan worked from home. So, we all hopped in the car to take Grace to Lollipop School. It was such a gorgeous drive... everything is blanketed in white! We had a great time playing in the snow this afternoon. I think we're feeling the itch to plan a Vermont trip in the very near future!
Our little snowANGEL!
Daddy taught Andrew how to throw snowballs at Mommy! He's pretty good!
Instead of making a snowman, Grace and Daddy decided to make a gigantic Frosty head:-)

Our Little Ballerina

Grace was so excited for her 1st dance class this afternoon. When she woke up this morning, she didn't want to go to Lollipop School. She wanted to go straight to dance class. After school, we came home for lunch and a photo shoot before heading to Anita Ehrler's Dance Extensions. If you were to ask Grace about her dance role models, she would tell you that she wants to dance like Angelina Ballerina and the Rockettes. I was very proud of Grace this afternoon! She's such a beautiful ballerina. By the end of class, she was following her teacher's instructions and dancing along to Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World." I LOVE watching Grace dance, and I hope that she will continue to enjoy taking this ballet and tap class:-)
Ta Da! It's time for dance class!

Look! She's following the teacher's directions:-) (Yes, I took some of these photos through the blinds. During class time, we're not allowed in the studio.)
