LuLu at Lollipop

Today it was LuLu's turn to read aloud to Grace's class, and she was fantastic! With St. Paddy's day quickly approaching, LuLu read The Night Before St. Patrick's Day. It was great to see my Mom in her element! She totally captivated the children's attention. After school, Grace told me that "LuLu reads even better than [her] teachers." She was so happy to sit next to LuLu, turn the pages, and help with the repetitive verse from The Gingerbread Girl (the second book that LuLu read). It's so nice having the opportunity to participate in Grace's class. I was happy that Andrew, Kate, and I were welcomed to sit in. Andrew loves being in Grace's classroom. I think he is starting to get anxious to go to Lollipop School this coming Autumn. Thank you, LuLu! You helped make Grace's day extra special! xoxo

Kate's 1st Solid

Kate had rice cereal for the first time today, and she really liked it! We're hoping that she will sleep better at night now that she is starting solids. I can't believe that our baby is almost 6 months! Time is going by way too fast!
1st spoonful
Yum! She even licked her lips!

Andrew's 1st Movie

We had a super fun family day today! Dan and I enjoyed bringing Grace and Andrew to Ramsey Cinema to see The Lorax, and LuLu loved spending some quality time with her youngest grandchild. After the movie, we picked up Kate and headed to Brooklyn's Pizza for a family date night. It was a memorable day!

Party Time!

Grace had lots of fun celebrating Aaron's 4th birthday at The Little Gym this morning. She is incredibly independent! I loved watching her play with her classmates! After the party, we headed to the Bronx for another special event. Dana and Vito hosted their first Sunday dinner, and it was delicious! Dana is an amazing cook... just like her Mom!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday

Recently, a sign up sheet went up in Grace's classroom for volunteers to come in and read to the children. I've been so excited to read to Grace and her classmates, and I was happy that I was able to come in for Read Across America Day. I read Dr. Seuss's Happy Birthday, BABY! in honor of his birthday, and since it's "Q Week", I also read Sarah Ferguson's Tea for Ruby, which is about a little girl that has been invited to have "tea with the Queen!" I loved having Grace sit next to me and turn the pages. It was such a joy be in her class this morning!

Rainy Day Fun

I love spending rainy days at home with my babies! Other than taking Grace to and from school, we spent the day at home watching Mulan, crafting, dressing-up, reading books, and watching Kate happily bounce in her jumper. It was what we like to call a "pajama day." It may have been raining outside, but it was a perfect day in our house filled with lots of cuddles and quality time!
Kate is so busy these days! She loves being in her exersaucer and jumper, and she's getting really good at playing with all of her toys.
Grace and Andrew made zoo animals! Grace made a beautiful giraffe, and Andrew painted and sequined a crocodile.
Fancy Nancy!

Kate's 1st Playdate

We had such a fun playdate with the Crescitelli's this afternoon! Kate was mesmerized by her friend, Jacqueline, and Grace and Andrew had a great time playing with Joey! Jen and I had fun catching up and watching Grace and Joey perform a talent show (Grace modeled all her dress-up clothes, and Joey was the announcer). Grace wanted to show Joey her bedroom, and when I went up to check up on them, I realized her bed was unmade. I was amused to find out that she was trying to play Sleeping Beauty with Joey. Apparently, she tried to coax him into giving her a kiss to wake her up. It looks like Dan is going to have his hands full in a few years:-) We had such a fun afternoon! All of the children played together so nicely!
