Cool Tricks

Our "Little Man" is extremely active! He tries very hard to keep up with his big-sister. Andrew has been crawling, pulling himself to standing, and walking along the furniture for a few weeks now. Tonight he began crawling the stairs for the very first time! He has quite a fan club, and he loves receiving compliments:-) We love you, Andrew!!!

(Please excuse the "baby voice" I used throughout this video.)

Holy Rollers

Our niece, Shannon, made her First Holy Communion today, and we had a great time celebrating! After Mass, we headed to the Colonial Inn for a memorable party! The DJ was fabulous... our nieces and nephews danced the day away! They received all kinds of fun give-aways! Bernadette Grace and Andrew enjoyed dancing with everyone and shaking their maracas!

Andrew had fun shaking and dropping his maraca all day!

Grace had a blast dancing with all of her cousins! She especially loved twirling her sparkle ribbon to "I've Got a Feeling."

Grace and her cousin, Shane, had to take a break after lots of dancing and battling with their glow in the dark necklaces (aka ~ light sabers).

Two of our nephews, Wally and Jameson, in their new blow-up shoes!

Andrew and Grace were both exhausted by the end of the day!

Tumbles x 2

Since her first visit there at 9 months, J.W. Tumbles has been one of Grace's favorite places in the world!!! Now that Andrew is 9 months, he is starting to enjoy it just as much as his big sister! We did a make-up class today, and our little sweethearts were so happy to have Daddy there. They both showed off for their Dad... Grace loves participating in the skill of the day (with Brian) on the green carpet. She's also a big fan of the trampoline. Andrew usually spends his time on the swings or going down the slide, but today he ventured off to Mr. Crab (the ball pit) and the jungle gym:-)

Swing Time

Spring has sprung, and we are have been enjoying our afternoons at various parks in the area. Today we met Aunt Mary, Genny, and Shane at Memorial Park. Grace had fun picking flowers with Genny, and she was quick to use one of the buds to accessorize! Andrew loves watching the kids play on all of the equipment from his favorite seat... the swings:-)

Jam Session

Bernadette Grace loves playing with the sticks during our Wednesday story hour! She's getting very good at following directions, and she sings the songs all week long. Andrew is Grace's biggest fan... he tries very hard to imitate her. Andrew helped me video this performance... so, it's a little shaky at times:-)

Turks and Caicos Recap:-)

We just recently returned from our family vacation at Beaches in Turks and Caicos. It was such a fun filled week, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. Luckily, we took tons of photos so Grace and Andrew will at least have some digital memorabilia. We were pleasantly surprised with Beaches!!! It is an all inclusive resort which sponsors Sesame Street. There were endless activities for all of us:-) We kicked off the week with a character breakfast, which Grace and Andrew absolutely loved! They got to see Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Zoe, Cookie Monster and many other Sesame Street friends. Grace was so excited to hold hands with the Count during the conga line and Andrew was mesmerized by Abby's wand. The beach was amazing... white sand and the most beautiful ocean water we've ever seen! We had lots of walks along the water, and we couldn't get enough of all the pools within the resort. Grace loved the waterfalls in the caribbean pool and the dolphins at the pool in the Italian village. Every day we ran into at least one of the Sesame Street characters while walking the grounds or relaxing at the pool. We were also pleased with the 16 restaurants within the resort. Our favorite was Barefoot By the Sea... there's nothing like eating a delicious meal, while being surrounded by the beauty of the beach:-) We also loved Cafe de Paris... we had crepes and lattes at least once a day. Some of the restaurants had both great food and entertainment... we enjoyed a fire show at Schooners and the hibachi chefs at Kimonos were hysterical. We were so sad to see our vacation come to an end. There's something so special about having uninterrupted family time. I love being able to play with the Danny and the kids all day! Now that we're back, Grace keeps asking when she'll get to go swimming again. We're already trying to decide where we'll go for our next family adventure!

Grace impressed us with her moves at the children's dance party!!!

Happy Easter!

Today is the kind of day that memories are made of! We had such a fabulous day from start to finish, and the weather was perfect! Grace and Andrew were so happy with their baskets from the Easter Bunny! Bernadette Grace even posed for a few photos with her new Fancy Nancy doll before Mass. My little sweethearts looked so adorable in their matching Easter outfits, if I do say so myself:-) After Mass we hosted a delicious brunch for LuLu, Pop, Nana, Grandpa, Nanny, Poppy, Aunt Dana, and Vito. Everyone made such a fuss over Grace and Andrew... I've never seen so many Easter baskets in one place! It was more like Christmas than Easter at our house with all the gifts and wrapping paper all over our living room! They're both stocked up with cute outfits for our upcoming vacation. Grace had fun making bubbles on the deck, and once everyone left, both of the children took a long nap:-) Our afternoon was spent at Uncle Ed and Aunt Suzanne's. Grace enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and playing with all of her cousins. Andrew was very happy to spend most of the day in the Baby Bjorn smiling at everyone:-) The Easter Bunny wrote the children such a sweet letter this year, which welcomed Andrew to the family and praised Grace for spelling her name and singing her ABC's. After participating in an Easter Egg Hunt, the Klein/Colonna kids found their gifts from the Easter Bunny hidden in the upstairs bathtub! Easter wouldn't be complete without Maylene's famous confetti egg fight!!! We threw over 100 eggs at each other! A good time was had by all:-) Now, I'm left wondering... what am I going to do with all these jelly beans and chocolate Easter bunnies!?!?!

Easter Egg Fun

Bernadette Grace was "egg"static when she found out that we were going to use the Disney Princess Easter Egg Coloring Kit today!!! She has been anxious to get her tiny little fingers on those egg dyes and sparkle stickers all week! We've been having so much fun getting ready for Easter this year!
After we finished he eggs and Daddy managed to remove all the dye from Grace's fingers, we headed to Finch Park. It was a gorgeous spring day!!! The kids had fun playing on the park equipment, and Andrew took a snooze in the swing:-)

Hoppin' with the Easter Bunny

The Montvale Library hosted a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon! We were greeted by the Easter Bunny, and Grace was anxious to show off her hopping skills:-) Grace and Andrew posed happily with the Easter Bunny and watched the older children during the question an answer period. Once Grace found her first egg at the hunt, she was content. She was so happy to find her favorite treat inside... JELLY BEANS! Yum!
